Expanding Program Development at AEI
The Anishinabek Educational Institute (AEI) is excited to share updates from the Program Development department. Recently, AEI welcomed Nicholas Esposto as Program Development Worker, joining Melanie Miller, Program Development Coordinator. Together, they are strengthening AEI’s commitment to delivering high-quality education and training programs for First Nation Anishinabek communities. Nick brings extensive academic and professional experience to AEI. He is currently a PhD student at Laurentian University and holds an MBA and an Honours Degree in Physical Health and Education.
In addition, he is certified in Project Management and teaches the subject at University Canada West. His background includes teaching at several Ontario universities and conducting research on digital transformation, business models, and IT management. Nicholas’s expertise will support AEI’s innovative program development. This dynamic team is actively engaging with communities across all four regions of the Anishinabek Nation: Southwest, Southeast, Lake Huron, and Northern Superior. Through surveys and data collection, valuable insights are being gathered to ensure AEI programs reflect the needs and priorities of our learners and communities.
AEI is proud to report that a strong sample size has already been collected, providing a solid foundation for informed program development. As part of this process, AEI is seeking Program Development Advisory Committee members. These committees play a vital role in guiding program design and ensuring cultural relevance and community alignment.
If you are passionate about shaping educational opportunities for Indigenous learners and are from one of Anishinabek Nation’s four regions, AEI invites you to get involved. The committees currently being established are Management, Anishinaabemowin, Community Development Worker, Community Resource Worker (Exceptionalities) and Foot/Wound/Skin care.
