Indigenous-led post-secondary institutions serving Anishinabek Nation communities are welcoming a historic provincial investment that strengthens long-term stability, culturally grounded education, and learner support. The Anishinabek Educational Institute, Kenjgewin Teg, and Shingwauk Kinoomaage Gamig say the $57 million commitment to Ontario’s Indigenous Institutes over three years supports education rooted in Anishinaabe language, culture, and ways of knowing, while creating stronger pathways to skills training, employment, and community well-being.
